These are our preferred phrases for Bellota patterns.

“With MC/CC…”

“With RS facing and MC/CC…”

“Join to knit in the round, ensuring that the cast on edge is not twisted and pm to indicate BOR.”

“Join to knit in the round, being careful not to twist and pm to indicate start of round/row.”*

“Work 1x1 rib (k1,p1)” - specified the first time it appears.

“… ending with a WS row.”

“Work even until piece/back measures x cm / x " from cast-on.”

“Switch to longer, smaller circular needle when working on 16 in/40 cm needle is no longer

comfortable”.

“Continue in established pattern…”

“Resume working in the round.”

“You should have XXXX sts on your needle”.

“Row 1: K1, p1…” - DO capitalize K1.

“Next Row / Row 4 (RS), dec: … 2 sts dec [x (x, x, x, x) sts].”
